It was a wonderful experience witnessing a finely organized and high quality scientific program in the 40th ROS Conference at Jodhpur.
Also, I am thankful to all the members for giving me the responsibility as 40th President of our Society. Being President of ROS I dream of taking our society to attain further heights by enhancing the ophthalmic health of our community and also to close knit our own members for better delivery and outcome of ophthalmic work.
I firmly believe that the delivery of our services to the patients should be EMR based & comprehensive in nature. This will enable us to relate all their old and new parameters with the pathology and can let us reach for a better diagnosis and management at first go.
I always advocate that each one should teach one. For this skill transfer process I would request my colleagues for providing opportunities to our next generation at their clinics or hospitals. During my tenure I would appreciate to promote lot of CME programs, Live surgery workshops, free screening and surgery camps for cataract, glaucoma etc especially at small towns. Under public awareness program I suggest for a campaign across Rajasthan showing sight threatening consequences arising from ROP, ARMD or DME by Posters, Slogans or any other means in local language.
Moreover, with the help of ROSe Directory I’m very much keen to close knit all the ophthalmologists of Rajasthan with all their professional data’s including the information of their achievements, awards, recognitions, conference attended, papers presented on state national or international level etc. You can register yourself with this directory by logging on to www.rosedirectory.in.
Lastly, I demand support from all you to achieve what we have thought for this year.

In our endeavour to make our website active & vibrant, we are trying to place all the important information on our website – like members directory , ROS constitution , future conferences in Rajasthan, online submissions etc . We are trying to start an active discussion forum for all our members on the website to help in solving our problems mutually & to enable us learning from each other.
I am thankful & place my highest regards to all my seniors and fellow members ; some of them are extremely enthusiastic , full of energy & highly accomplished and will take the Association to further heights.
